SFXT PC Update And CVS2 PS2 Port A Couple Of Months Off

Christian Svensson apologizes for the huge delay that PC Street Fighter X Tekken players. Details about the pricing point and release should be out by the end of the week. He says there should be some good news to share by then.

On other news, Svensson also commented on the likely release of Capcom vs. SNK 2 in the west. It has cleared some channels in emulation testing and should be out in a few months. Mind you that this is the emulated PlayStation 2 version for the PlayStation 3. It is not likely that the release will get any netplay, although one can hope.

You can check out their video archive for the entire interview after the jump.

CVS2 : Ibaraki VIP "Tao" Invitationals

On my Youtube I have uploaded some videos of a recent Japanese invitational by Ibaraki featuring Tao. They decided that it would be quite interesting if he were to run him through every single high level CVS2 player in the Kansai reigon for fun. Going against the likes of Rai, Tsugunosuke, and RCK, there is much hilarity and opposition.

So go on over and watch some C-groove Kim action! Embedded video playlist after the jump!

CVS2 : D44BAS Interview by Cross Counter

Chris Bahn of Cross Counter recently had an interview with the Legendary D44BAS. BAS was considered one of, if not the best, CvS2 players of all time. His ability to execute Roll Cancels without fail, great reading skills, and foresight has made him take 1st place in many tournaments including EVO, Stunfest, and Neo Amusement Space A-Cho Nationals.

The interview goes over many topics, including memories about CvS2 itself, views on the current competitive games, and how sponsorship are beginning to rear its head for fighting game players. So head on over to read the full article here.

After news that both Capcom Vs. SNK 2 and Capcom Fighting Evolution/Jam are now available in Japan's PlayStation Store, Capcom put some light for international users interested.

"Eventually," Capcom's Senior Vice President Christian Svensson said. "The timing will be quite different though from Japan. More news will come 'next year'." Svensson concluded his post with a positive emoticon so there will definitely be good news coming out of this.

Hideaki Itsuno teases at remake of CvS2 and Rival Schools

Hideaki Itsuno is the creator of Rival Schools as well as the Director for the hit classic Capcom vs SNK 2. In an interview with AnimeNewsNetwork, Itsuno was asked about the possibility of a new Rival Schools title, or perhaps a re-release on Xbox Live or PSN.

"I happen to have certain plans to do things like that. I don't know if it'll come to fruition, but it's on my agenda for sure."

Additionally, when asked about the much requested Capcom vs SNK 2 remake showing up on current consoles. He could only respond that

"Funny you should ask. I'm also planning some things there."

Although there is nothing concrete about it as of yet, this is a hopeful outset for people who love Rival Schools and Capcom vs SNK 2. Both games have had a huge demand for being ported to the Xbox360 and PS3. With the HD port of Darkstalkers it seems only fitting that these two games also get a chance at the spotlight to complete the great late 90s classiscs from Capcom. So heres to hoping that a proper version of the game will be released with good netplay!

Real Honest Sundays Season Finale Replays Now Live on YouTube

Hey all, if you missed our Real Honest Sundays Season Finale at Southtown Arcade be sure to load up these too-hot-for TwitchTV replays that just made it to YouTube!

The King of Fighters XIII at STA was back in full swing this week with vets BBZ, Fixel, Hellpockets and others holding it down versus SoCal scum, Giby aka EX Harrison! For reals though, it was super hype to have Giby roll through to not only play but also help commentate (and order pizza). Be sure to hit him up on Twitter and check out SNK-Capcom as well.

I was also back in action after a week or two of absence but no joysticks were harmed in the filming of RHS 5.6 this time around.

CvS2, after a slow week the week before, was also back with a vengeance. This was CarnbyCL's last tournament before going back to Spain and ended up doing pretty well versus a lot of STA regulars. You'll be missed!

Leezy of course mopped the floor with everyone but there were some great bouts all around with LionX, MrWarzard, 2000 Watts and more.

Subscribe to us on YouTube for more videos and check out the playlist after the jump! Holla!

CvS2 : Ibaraki VIP's Kansai Championships

Despite the lack of an online mode for CvS2 released for PSN, it is still quite exciting to see a release port of some sort. It is with hope that they will consider a release for the states even in its current state to avoid the issue of HDTVs and old CRTs. So cheers to that!

Other than that, you should check out my Youtube for some CvS2 play, featuring Dari with his god-like C-Rugal and Geese, and Rai with his awesome Mai (lol) as they battle it out with some of Japan's best at the Kansai Championships. Kansai is where its at in Japan. Playlist after the break.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 Out On PSN in Japan, Just A Playstation 2 Port

PSNStores reported yesterday that Capcom vs. SNK 2 has been released on the Japanese Playstation Network for 1,200 Yen ($15 USD). It is a port of the original Playstation 2 game, which did have netplay enabled, but it is currently unknown if the PSN port is online capable as well.

This is bittersweet news for fans of the game, including myself, who have been asking for an update such as the one Street Fighter 3: Third Strike received. Unfortunately, Capcom knows that you'll be back...

CvS2: EVO2K12 Side Tournament Results

Sorry for the late update guys! I have been quite busy since coming back from EVO. Thanks to everyone who supported the side tournament at EVO, and for those tuning into the stream! There were some issues due to the situation at hand, but in the future I hope to improve and bring you better and better CvS2 footage!

2nd - Gene Wong (A - Claw, Dictator, Blanka)

Capcom VS SNK 2: The Garage Warrior Part 4 by Maximilian

Unfortunately, many players out there don't get to experience one of the best aspects of fighting games.  It's getting together with a group of friends around the same screen to just battle it out, whether this is at an organized event or in someone's living room.

Maximilian is back with another episode of Capcom vs SNK 2: The Garage Warrior, where they do just that.  This game is also hella fun to watch.
