In part 4 of IGN's Dead or Alive 5: Fighter Chronicles, producer Yosuke Hayashi and other members of Team Ninja describe the process behind creating a character and their efforts to make them appear more lifelike. Additionally, they touch on the evolution of online gaming and how that led the team to integrate Facebook into Dead or Alive 5's online features. DOA5: Gen-Fu Vs. Pai and Bikini Battle Showdown in Latest Batch of Team NINJA Videos

Team NINJA must be enjoying themselves lately because there is a lot of new footage featuring the developers playing their own game, Dead or Alive 5.

Tecmo Koei of America has just put up some videos featuring staff members playing each other with Gen-Fu and Virtua Fighter's Pai.

Dengeki Online has also uploaded a team battle between their own staff against the developers at Team NINJA featuring most of the game's characters in swimsuits. In fact, this is the second time they're facing each other and they request the help of Team Razer's Fuudo for this exhibition. DOA5: New Characters Mila and Rig Featured in Latest Gamespot Videos

Today's a great day for anyone who is a fan of Team NINJA's Dead or Alive 5, as Gamespot and Maxwell McGee deliver with a wealth of new information and footage from the game.

With everyone excited about Dead or Alive's most recent participants, Maxwell is ready for you with four new videos and two articles breaking down Mila, the mixed martial artist, and Rig, a mechanic with a black belt in taekwondo. He explains each character's fighting style, while showing you a trick or two in the game's command training mode.

Along with the character analyses, Gamespot has uploaded another video that goes through the system mechanics with competitive Dead or Alive 5 player, Daniel "Berzerk" Chlebowczyk.

DOA5: Team NINJA Staff Tournament Grand Finals

Team NINJA recently tweeted about an internal Dead or Alive 5 staff tournament that took place a few days ago. The finals were fought by two members of the development team who worked on game balance. Director Yosuke Hayashi mentioned that they might upload more footage to the official Koei Tecmo YouTube channel.

VG24/7 recently interviewed Yosuke Hayashi, director of Dead or Alive 5, to discuss the game's development, origins and inclusion of Virtua Fighter characters.

DOA5: Collectors Edition Swimsuit Outfit Screenshots for Sarah, Helena and Lisa

TECMO uploaded a  few new screenshots to their Facebook page today showcasing swimsuit outfits for Helena, Lisa and Sarah that you'll receive when purchasing the Collectors Edition of the game. Beyond the swimsuit outfits, players will receive a CD soundtrack, artbook, poster of the cast -- and of course the game -- all contained in an embossed metal case. TECMO KOEI released a bunch of new media for Dead or Alive 5 this morning including brand new gameplay trailers featuring Helena and Lisa, not to mention a handful of new screenshots. They mention that this is the near final build of the game and the people playing are pro-players so it should give you a good idea as to what to expect when you get your hands on the game come September. They also included a quick rundown of each characters play style which you can find after the jump.

IGN uploaded the latest episode of Dead or Alive 5's Fighter Chronicles where many of the game's key developers talk about the hurdles of re-examining and redesigning many of the characters look and attacks. DOA5: More Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter Characters to be Announced After Release

Andria Sang posted up some info on Dead or Alive 5 from an interview that appeared in Famitsu featuring Team Ninja's Yousuke Hayashi where he mentions that there are more character announcements on the way. Some of these new characters -- which are apparently a mix of both Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive characters -- will have to be unlocked by playing the game (boo!) so we probably wont hear about them until after the game is released.

DOA5: First Look at Collectors Edition Exclusive Swimsuit Costumes

The TECMO KOEI Facebook page was updated today with a handful of new images giving us a first look at the exclusive swimsuits for the female cast that are included in the collectors edition of the game. These are different from the pre-order bonus swimsuits you can get when purchasing from GameStop or Amazon. It's not clear if these will be available for download after the game is released to those with the regular edition but one can only assume so.
