Yes, I know, too early to tell but watching this new video makes me think so. Nice find by Oldschoolgamer on NeoGAF, this video showcases more of Goukens abilities. Looks like the rush punch goes through fireballs and he has some sort of air-focus attack/air-parry? He is pretty much the only character in the game who can do this.
We all knew it was coming today and here it is: First video of Gouken in action! It appears his EX fireball is the upwards fireball we saw in the previous shots.. but he also throws out a regular fireball at the same time. Seems kind of..cheap! You'll see his hurricane kick is vertical and seems to start off with an extra ground hit. Lastly: SHIN...SHO...RYUKEN!

- According to the official SF4 blog, this is what you have to do in order to fight Gouken: Just a note... if you have to use a continue against Seth, you won't get to fight Gouken lol.
1. Do not use any continues
2. Do not lose the first round in any fight
3. You have to get a certain number of perfects depending on what the machine is set to.
Set to 1 round: Must get a perfect in at least one match.
Set to best of 3: Must get 2 perfects
Set to best of 5: Must get 3 perfects
Set to best of 7: Must get 4 perfects

Alright, so Kunai has a nice thread on SRK (be sure to check his awesome C.Viper thread as well) with all the alternate costumes for Street Fighter 4. Today was the first day I saw Akuma's which I thought is a lot better than most of the other characters at this point. Hopefully the console release will have many more alternate costumes for each character.
Well this game wouldn't be the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear with out some raw heavy metal tunes. Here is the intro for the game that is apparently from the AM Show in Japan. Thanks to the guys over at BlazBlue.com for posting this.

GOUKEN FAMITSU SCANOkay, here it is, the Famitsu scan showing Gouken as the new character in Street Fighter 4. All the hints dropped on the Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog have been pointing to this for weeks now. Not sure about a move list or exact date he will show up in the arcades, although I believe it is 26th of this month.

After viewing the scan a little closer it appears he has an anti-air fireball and some sort of (Shin?) Shoryuken Ultra. I'm sure some videos will be out later this week showcasing his abilities.

Only a weeks notice, I know, but the prize money is $1000 and there is no entry fee. It is from 3pm-8pm which I'm sure will make it difficult for some people to get to, including myself!

Title says it all. I saw the board on Coin-Op Express and it looked like it just comes with an HDMi cable so if you can afford to buy two HDTVs and two boards it shouldn't be too terribly difficult to do this yourself. Many arcade operators are essentially doing the same thing with HDTVs inside real arcade cabs.
So this is a live stream from TRF which I assume is a Japanese arcade. I don't know the schedule, but most times I have logged in I have gotten some game play! There is also a live chat with a lot of SRK people commenting on the videos.
Okay well I'm sure any Street Fighter 2 fan has seen these at this point but it's worth posting about. If you havent seen this series check it out now! Too funny!
Street Fighter: The Later Years Part 1
This is probably the best video released yet. Shows some decent gameplay and some amazing shadowing on the stages.
To me it still looks like there is a lot of work to be done. Although it looks great there are still some inconsistencies with the animations. Also, around the 4 minute mark you will see Terry get crossed up some how and continue to do crouching kicks the opposite direction. Looks pretty glitchy.
AM Show is now over but more videos from the event keep showing up. This time it is some BlazBlue videos, although the compression on Youtube does not do this game justice.

The videos for King of Fighters XII keep pouring in today. Here is another set from cyberfanatix.
This is a nice write up on King Of Fighters XII and what to expect. Sounds like the game has been just as hard, if not harder, to develop and animate as the previous games even though they are using a new rotoscoping technique for the visuals. The article also mentions the game is about 60% done. I'd say we're looking at late 2009 for a console release even though SNK mentioned it was closer to Q2 2009.
