Hey all, just a quick update in regards to a few things on the Capcom and Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tournament Series front. As many of you know I've been handling the SF 25th live streams and with that we've decided to launch a brand new TwitchTV channel called Capcom Fighters! This will be your one stop for all your favorite Capcom fighting games so be sure to follow the channel to know when we go live.
Our first LIVE broadcast on the new channel will be next Friday for the SF 25th Brazil qualifier. More than that, I'll be rebroadcasting the previous qualifies this weekend for those of you who want to catch up on all the action. For more info check out this post on Capcom Unity.
Finally, I know many of you have been dying for information on the Los Angeles qualifier and I am happy to announce that all those details are now live on the official Street Fighter 25th website. Be sure to check it out and pre-reg online!

The King of Fighters XIII at STA was back in full swing this week with vets BBZ, Fixel, Hellpockets and others holding it down versus SoCal scum, Giby aka EX Harrison! For reals though, it was super hype to have Giby roll through to not only play but also help commentate (and order pizza). Be sure to hit him up on Twitter and check out SNK-Capcom as well.
I was also back in action after a week or two of absence but no joysticks were harmed in the filming of RHS 5.6 this time around.
CvS2, after a slow week the week before, was also back with a vengeance. This was CarnbyCL's last tournament before going back to Spain and ended up doing pretty well versus a lot of STA regulars. You'll be missed!
Leezy of course mopped the floor with everyone but there were some great bouts all around with LionX, MrWarzard, 2000 Watts and more.

If you guys missed out on the season finale of Southtown Arcade's Saturday Night Snapback, you can now check out all the matches on YouTube! These feature some great fights from some of STA's star players such as Harrison, WindZero, Crispy Tacoz, Heroic, El Cubano Loco and many more. Those of you who are wondering about the whereabouts of K Beast and Honzo Gonzo, don't worry -- they were holding it down and keeping it real at Seasons Beatings over the weekend! They'll both be back in full force come next season!

If you're serious about Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and you live on the East Coast you'll be very happy to hear about some new developments coming from the organizers of Final Round, ECT and NEC. ShinBlanka announced he is rolling out a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 East Coast circuit with the help of Big E and Sweet Johnny Cage. The circuit will provide travel and accommodations to the East Coast's biggest tournaments for those who win at various events over the course of the next year leading up to EVO.

Major League Gaming announced two fighting games that will be on their Fall Championship lineup in Dallas: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Mortal Kombat. The event takes place November 3rd and 4th and will have over $30,000 up for grabs between both games.
Tekken has had a strong presence at MLG in the past so its no surprise to see it return, though it appears Soul Calibur V and The King of Fighters didn't make the cut this time around. Mortal Kombat has been a staple at MLG events for the past year though it will be interesting to see if this continues to be the case.

Storm, unlike many other characters in UMVC3, does not have many basic combos that dish out big damage right out of the gates. Even more of her more advanced combos leave much to be desired in the damage output department. That being said, she certainly makes up for this with having great movement options and one of the best DHC supers in the game.
Xero18 put together an awesome bread and butter combo compiliation for those of you looking to add Storm to your team. He goes over pretty much every variation that you will need to know so this is certainly worth a watch. Check it out after the jump!

TECMO uploaded a few new screenshots to their Facebook page today showcasing swimsuit outfits for Helena, Lisa and Sarah that you'll receive when purchasing the Collectors Edition of the game. Beyond the swimsuit outfits, players will receive a CD soundtrack, artbook, poster of the cast -- and of course the game -- all contained in an embossed metal case. Maximilian and crew are back with another ASSIST ME! series though this time around they are focusing on Capcom games from days gone by. The latest gives the basic rundown of Marvel Super Heroes teaching you everything from the control layout to how Gems work in the game. As always, this series is very well edited and very entertaining so check it out when you get a few!

With 25 years under his belt, you would think taking a complete look back at Ryu's legacy in the Street Fighter series would take quite some time, but Capcom Unity uploaded a Ryu Retrospective that gives a complete rundown of his origins in right around five minutes. This will probably be nothing new to hardcore Street Fighter fans but if you're not familiar with all the games from years gone by this is worth checking out.
We're back tonight with another installment of Saturday Night Snapback live from Southtown Arcade! As usual we'll start things off with Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition at 7PM PDT and start Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 at 9PM PDT. Another quick reminder that the Southtown Arcade Season 5 Ranbats continue this weekend. NO MERCY Fridays will kick things off tonight at 7PM PDT with Virtua Fighter 5, while Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 5 begin at 9PM PDT. Tomorrow is Saturday Night Snapback which is host to everyone's favorite Capcom games: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 which begins at 7PM PDT and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 which will go down at 9PM PDT. Finally, we'll have Real Honest Sundays which features only the most brutal 2D fighting games with KOFXIII at 1PM PDT and CvS2 at 4PM PDT.

Today marks the day that Street Fighter turns 25 as it came into this world on August 30th, 1987. Holy crap, I was only 5 years old at the time and most of you reading this site probably weren't even born yet! Like many others, my first interaction with Street Fighter was with SFII at a local grocery store in my area where I was barely tall enough at the time to reach the controls.
What was your first interaction with Street Fighter that you can remember?

While I know many of you are not fans of this game, I have to say Street Fighter x Tekken has gotten more and more interesting as time goes on. Players are not only figuring out new techniques, but also exploring the new DLC characters which can make for some very exciting matches. The SF 25th NYC qualifier was a good example of this and the latest from the Asia qualifier were great as well with GamerBee showing off some new Jack-X technology.
While there are still some timeouts here and there, if you missed these matches live be sure to check them out as its a great display of high level SF x TK. Check out all the new replays from Taipei after the jump!

Desk uploaded a new Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 clip showcasing a TAC infinite with Spencer. It involves using his Wiregrapple and a Forward Zipline over and over to keep it going. Check out the video after the jump along with Desk's notes.

Capcom announced the launch date today for Marvel vs Capcom Origins -- the downloadable compilation that includes Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. It will be coming to North America on September 25th on PSN for $14.99 and September 26th on XBLA for 1200 MS Points.

Capcom uploaded a handful of screenshots showcasing the alternate costumes for all of the DLC characters found in Street Fighter x Tekken. If you have a PS3 or Vita these costumes can be yours for free if you pre-order the Vita version from Amazon, BestBuy, GameStop or the Capcom Store. Once they are on your Vita you can easily transfer them to your PS3 as well. Check out all the images in the gallery below.
