Not only does this video give a look at Liu Kang, but it also casually drops a new character reveal, one that you probably saw coming. Give it a look after the jump.

TheSixthAxis Article: "Why You Should Be Worried About Mortal Kombat"

There is a very interesting article today on TheSixthAxis titled "Why You Should Be Worried About Mortal Kombat".  The article draws a comparison between the game's developer, NetherRealm Studios, and the competition with regards to fan feedback during the development process.  Here's a sample.

"Mortal Kombat is easily the most important game for the franchise in recent memory, and yet there doesn’t seem to be much desire for direct fan feedback. I saw a live demo at E3 and I was easily impressed. However, I only saw what the developers wanted me to see. It was flashy eye candy with the devs using simplified controls to show all the crazy combos."

This is interesting. Do you agree with the article's premise?

Mortal Kombat - Environment Bio #03 - The Dead Pool

It's Fatality Friday again, and it's time for another Mortal Kombat video!  This one is a stage bio of the Dead Pool, another classic stage from the series' past!

Usually I'd say that background info on a stage in a fighting game is a waste of time, but the ones that are put together for Mortal Kombat are actually really well done and the tidbits of background info do add to the game IMO.  Even if you care nothing for backstory, this short vid is worth a look for some gameplay footage and a good look at the stage's details.
