High Level Japanese Guilty Gear XRD Lobby

There will be another high-level Round Robin first-to-three Japan Lobby being hosted by Mr. Biscuits. With the help of Zidane and Ruu, Biscuits is able to bring some of the best players in Japan into one lobby, and provide English commentary.

The japanese players that will be in attendence are as follows: Daiji (Ramlethal),  Kedako (May),  Isamu (Venom),  Sabamiso (Bedman), and  Susumu (Chipp). The lobby will be on Saturday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m. EST. The prestream will go live at 8 a.m. The stream wil be hosted at Mr. Biscuits Twitch channel.

High Level Japanese Guilty Gear XRD Streams

It is tough for someone just getting into Guilty Gear Xrd to find information in regards to either the game or where to watch high level play. If you are not familiar with the anime scene or just getting into fighting games period, it's understandable to be a bit intimdated. Mr. Biscuits is trying to bridge the gap with his streams, which are centered on both competitive play and learning the game. 

Mr. Biscuits, with the help of his translator Satou, have been putting on Japenese lobbies via PSN where the highest calibur of Japanese players come to play. These FT3 Round Robin lobbies feature a host of the best Guilty Gear players including FAB Potemkin, Hase Slayer, Endou Chipp, Fino Venom, and Gaku Sin.

Pandora House And IPW Present: NorCal Fight Club League This Friday (8/8) - Updated With Results And Replays

The long-awaited NorCal Fight Club League is here! Pandora House is looking to find out who truly is the best of the best in the region.

Here's how it's going down. This League will consist of 3 individual rounds taking place at various locations. The qualified 14 players will battle it out. The points scored at each location will carry over and accumulate to determine the victor at the end of the season. That's only the beginning  because there's more. Not only does the person who accumulates the most point at the end of the season gets crowned as CHAMPION of Nor Cal, they will be inducted into the "A League" for season 2!!! Along with that, the champion will be joined by the distinguished top 4 fighters just right below him into the A League as they sit comfortably for the next season!

Now, let's meet the competitors: EG | Ricky Ortiz, Filipino Champ, pH | Hoodaman, pH | LPN, MMG | Julio, MMG | El Cubano Loco, Dirty Paws, Crizzle, BJ Unchained, Ramin, Crackfiend, Kelvin Jeon, Nima and Nando.

The NorCal Fight Club League will be streamed on IPLAYWINNER's Twitch channel.

Beneath The Hat: Tournament Seeding & You!

I got into an internet argument today about seeding so I am just going to vomit words about it.

Seeding in the fighting game community is largely a joke, since it's based on largely arbitrary factors and sometimes based on nothing at all. It's not the fault of the tournament organizers; rather the fault lies with the fact that the FGC is so segmented and lacks unified structure. The most common way a tournament is seeded is by perceived skill. You put a relatively equal amount of top players into each pool and then just let them play it out. This totally disregards results, and results should matter in regards to seeding.

E3 2013: Mad Catz Shows Off Features In New TE2 FightStick For Next Gen Consoles

Mad Catz unveiled an exciting new redesign to their Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 which will work on Xbox One.

The design features the most changes for a TE in memory sporting a new screwless detachable faceplate, storage inside the stick, and a detachable cable among other things.

Under The Cap: Fanime Looking In

I was on a street corner in downtown San Jose, flanked by a French maid and a bipedal wolf when I saw a man that summed up my experience at FanimeCon. He was on a bicycle, and he was carrying a goldfish in a cup. An odd sight surely, but the look of confusion and surprise on his face mirrored what I was feeling. I was a strange man in an even stranger place.

I have never been to an anime con or ever really watched an anime in my life, but I am not oblivious to the culture. Even with my meager knowledge I cosplayed as someone who literally knew nothing about anime, asking questions every chance I got. My goal was to experience the event from an outsider's perspective in order to see if anyone can come to these events and have a good time. The short answer is yes.

I, Honzo Gonzo, downloaded Lobo as soon as I can (Thank you season pass), to see if he was worth everyones purchase. The short answer is yes, Lobo is a unique character design and really fun to play. He is not the most straight forward of the cast, but once you learn his tools you can start flaying them alive.
