Homecoming: CoL Filipino Champ Defends the Throne Event By XSplit & Cross Counter

Filipino Champ will be at the Philippines to "Defend the Throne."

XSplit and Cross Counter are hosting an event Oct. 20 in Manila, Philippines that will pit Complexity's Filipino Champ fighting against the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 players in the nation.

The event will be streamed live on FGTV Live's Twitch channel and starts on Oct. 19 at 9 pm PST for US west coast viewers, Oct. 20 at 12 am EST for the east coast. You can check out the trailer after the jump!

Fighting Games At Eurogamer Expo 2013 Archived By Unequalled Media

England's Unequalled Media was at Eurogamer Expo covering the fighting game competition at the event's Tournament Stage.

The 2013 iteration of Eurogamer's own exhibition located in London, England's Earls Court Exhibition Centre held a special stage dedicated to competitive games including fighters. Unequalled Media was there to stream and record footage of tournament and exhibition play from games like Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown

Pre-Canada Cup 2013 Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 Tournament Archive

The folks at Edmonton Gamers and Psycho Hour uploaded the matches from the Pre-Canada Cup 2013 Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 mini tournament.

This session taking place before the big tournament weekend at Vancouver, British Columbia featured international players including Xiaohai and Infiltration with some United States players like EG PR Balrog and Jayce The Ace. Being in Canada, the mini tournament also features native fighters like White Gun and Redcaliburn.

Cross Counter's founder and one of the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 players team up for a special series of videos on improving your fighting game skill.

Fighting Gamer Mastery is a special media program with Gootecks and Filipino Champ. This four hour-long video series examines strategies, mental strength and understanding the metagame in fighting games. For Street Fighter and Marvel players, there is also content about Champ's characters and how he applies his own philosophies when competing.

The qualifier took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands where first place winners of both Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 will be able to go to SS 2013 on Oct. 12 - 13, 2013 in Melbourne, Aus.

Latest Capcom Cup Trailer Featuring Dates & Locations Of Qualifiers & World Finals

The Capcom Cup is rolling on and for those who want to get an update on the qualifiers and finals, a new trailer is available.

This Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012-only tournament will go all over the world to determine once again who can be the current best. While two qualifiers have passed, there are still more to come including one at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show and the Australia's Shadowloo Showdown 2013.

Winners of these qualifiers will be returning to the San Francisco Bay Area at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport hotel, the same spot as the original Street Fighter 25th Anniversary World Finals was held in 2012.

Archives Of SSFIVAE2012 Shadowloo Showdown 2013 Japanese Qualifying Tournaments

Japan initiated two qualifying tournaments for a chance to go to Melbourne, Australia as part of Shadowloo Showdown 2013.

The East Japan qualifier in Club Sega Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan had 36 players competing including such players like Y., Anton, Aqua, Super Santaro Man, Shin and -R-. That qualifier was streamed by Yubiken in collaboration with Kagecchi. The West Japan qualifier in Nipponbashi Bar Guild in Osaka, Japan was provided by Mix Up Night and had their own set of strong competitors like Uryo, -6, Shiroitachi, Dogura and KojiKog.

"Why Me Dojo? 6" After Super Desperation Radio At 8:00pm PST Tonight

Preliminary Phase In Yubiken's Fourth Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 Online Tournament

The Yubiken folks in Japan last week initiated their fourth online championship series for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012!

Using the game's tournament mode for their format, players including Itabashi Zangief, Aqua, Shin, Iori and Nishikin are placed into three eight-man groups. Once three players have been determined, they will play each other in the finals in a future stream. The dual Japanese and English commentary is also featured and if you want to listen to one of the tracks only, here are some instructions.

EVO 2013: Cross Counter Presents AE2012 & SFXT Sessions At Kelvin Jeon's Hotel Room

Kelvin at Cross Counter was at EVO and recorded some sessions from his hotel room with various strong players in Street Fighter X Tekken and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver. 2012.

For SFIV, Poongko went up against Japanese Vega player BrokkenG in a first to three bout. In SFXT, Kelvin himself went up against the very technical player from the East Coast Ryan Hunter in a first to five set. Also in SFXT features NorCal player Bad Intent playing with Sethlolol in a first to five set as well.

Once teased, now fully revealed is J'onn also known as the Martian Manhunter as the fifth downloadable character in Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting against John Stewart, with voice by Phil Lamarr, a bonus costume for the Green Lantern.

Evil Geniuses were at Japan for this year's Topanga Charity Cup and also visited the folks at Yubiken for some more Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 action!
